How it works - 

This workshop is part lecture, part implementation so you’ll need to come prepared to create or update your current spreadsheet. We’ll discuss cash reconciliations, account categories, how to categorize transactions, and then you’ll have time to revise your spreadsheet to work better for you. 

I’ll be available for questions, troubleshooting, and offering insight. I’ll also have a sample ledger and summary report that you can use if you don’t have a system you love.

Here are questions others have asked about the workshop:

  • The total number of participants in each workshop is limited to 10. Talking about finances is very personal and a small group is less intimidating.

  • Yes! This is a hands-on workshop so you’ll have time to update/fix/change your spreadsheet to make it work better for you. I will also have a template that you can use as well, in case you decide your current spreadsheet just isn’t working for you anymore.

  • Absolutely! You don’t need to be a numbers person for this workshop. I’m going to take accounting concepts and break them down into easy-to-understand steps so that you can feel comfortable with those pesky numbers and financial reports. To be honest, I wasn’t much of a numbers person either before I started my accounting journey so I get where you’re coming from.

  • You won’t, but if you have strong feelings about it then send me an email and we’ll work through it together. One of my key business values is ‘people over profit’ and that extends to my customers as well. I want us both to be happy and I’ll work with you to find an agreeable solution for both of us. That said, I have a strict ‘no refunds’ policy for workshops.

  • I have a strict ‘no refunds’ policy for workshop sign-ups. If you need to transfer your registration to another date, then we can make arrangements if you notify me within 7 days before the workshop date. You’ll be allowed to transfer your registration once.

  • You can find everything I teach on the internet for free, but have fun sorting through thousands of websites and evaluating if that info is legit or not. When you’re done wasting time and are still struggling, I’ll be here waiting. The content in this workshop is the result of years of questions from clients and answering the same concerns from small business owners. I have seen a lot of great accounting and some really questionable tactics too. Learn from my experience!
